The only thing that seems to make my days brighter & even more so when it is accompanied by a perfect glass of wine. This wasn’t the best of wines I’ve had, but it served the purpose for the day :D, Which was clearly to create great content for this amazing platform.
This was a platter of some sort, came with some beef curry, fisk and some fried chicken & veggies. To be honest I don’t think we touched any of the veggies lol
Of course if you know me then you know I love my fries so damn much 😀 This were very tasty once I added some ketchup, but then again, I love potatoes so much, they taste great even when boiled lol
And ofcourse, this meal wouldn’t have been complete without my drink of choice.. Ppppfff 😛
I like my wine Sweet truth be told. And I don’t drinking anything stronger than that, trust me, I’ve tried. Perhaps some sweet cocktails here & there, but that’s about it.
@jeanwandimi & I clearly destroyed that platter. Just reminiscing about it makes me want to go back for some more.
And of course it wouldn’t be a complete experience without a selfie of some sort 🙂 If this counts as one.
Hope you guys are having an amazing Friyaaaay Out there. I am certainly trying to make the best use of my time xxo
Exactly my reaction when I looked at Steem’s position on CMC! I know we keep saying there’s nothing wrong with STEEM, that it will catch up and that it is still heading in the right direction, but from where I stand, it doesn’t seem that way! There is power in numbers and right now it seems like we are losing them.
I am not trying to cause any panic or discourage anyone, but I think we really need to pay attention as to why STEEM is drastically falling and under performing. Some would argue it is the constant sell orders by Steemit Inc, but who is buying if they are selling?
Also, I think we cannot solely put it on Steemit Inc, tokens are meant to be trad-able and not just for Holding. If there aren’t enough investors or buyers for the token, then that means there are not enough people finding the value in the token hence the drastic fall.
I don’t know about you guys, but I think we seriously need to look into marketing the platform. Like serious, proper, professional marketing. Not users putting out tweets and posts on social media in what seems like an indirect forceful advertisement, but rather in an informative, fun and friendly manner.
It feels like every couple of weeks I come back here with the same rant to no solution, sometimes, rather most times it doesn’t even feel like people care enough, but I just really wish I knew the secret formula to use to help push this lovely blockchain to the level it deserves. I don’t know what it is, but STEEM is terribly failing at something, and I am not sure this HF21 & EPS is going to make things any better. In fact, I fear it might make things pretty worse.
Can you believe Bitcoin is about to Hit 10k & Steem can barely stabilize at $0.40? Very disappointing!
I have been thinking lately of how I can contribute to @nathanmar’s #seven777 for 777days. Now, if you know me then you know I honestly do not like to exercise, and I certainly don’t want to post myself doing it. Just looking at all my former corporate colleagues on my twitter followers list is reason enough to not wanna do it.
Just a little over a week ago my former boss dropped in for a quick hello and I couldn’t imagine her having to come to my feed and see what I have resolved to, in this case, public display of my exercise routine. There’s nothing wrong with this really, but considering my former role in that organization, I’d say it’s not something that would be appealing if I was still working there. Truth is, I would like to keep that door open, because I don’t know for sure how long I can do Steem Fulltime.
Recently, I read a post by @nonsowrites where he stated
The thing is most steemians are ashamed of this blockchain. They like it; they believe in the vision, but to many, it is too premature to share.
I kind of agree on the premature part, in as much as we are working very hard in creating awareness and working towards mass adoption, we have a long way to go before we can declare Steem a proper working product. A lot has to do with community tag of wars on the way forward for the platform. We need to be on the same page of where we want to go as a blockchain otherwise we’d be working on totally different goals, and that will never work. What comes to mind is the proposed 50/50 rewards system which I am completely against. I haven’t found one single reason that would warrant me to support it as a content creator. It seems like it is just another way to enrich the rich and take away from the hard working content creators. While others would argue there;s going to be alot more manual curation, I prefer to not assume, I like to work facts. What if there is not enough manual curation? Then what? Content creators like myself who do this fulltime will have lost a great deal. Also, I feel it will drive away the already struggling, active creators
I don’t think majority of the average internet users quite comprehend the blockchain and cryptocurrency concepts yet, and If I’m being honest, I would not be particularly comfortable at this moment to approach any investors with the current state of the platform until the dust settles. But I am passionate about creating awareness of the Steem Blockchain and empowering youths to leverage the opportunity this platform seeks to offer and empower themselves financially in the very near future, which would explain why I am hard at work on my Youtube Channel Coming to Life.
All this to say, I may not be able to take part in the #seven77 exercise challenge. But I am willing to commit to at least 1 Tweet A Day About Steem for 777days #steem #steemblockchain.
I know I can be random as hell on some days. And this was one of those kind of days. However, would you believe it if I said I am quite shy to be photographed? I mean, it’s not an everyday kind of affair, I only do it for Thumbnails on most cases cause it’s necessary, however, I feel like I really need to get out of my comfort zone if I am to truly keep up with my mainstream social media accounts.
What does that mean exactly?
More visual photos of myself. People love to see people they can relate to or they might not pay that much attention, especially in a space where they have become so spoilt for choice, and a space that has so much more competition for attention than it actually is on blockchain based platforms.
On some days it feels like it is too much work to put in for zero returns, but then again I remember why it is necessary to play my role in promoting Steem, because every little thing we all collectively do will count in the long run.
One way I thought I’d do my part was by doing this Steem & DTube art nails. The guys at the salon were very curious to know the meaning behind it and you can trust I gave them such a long lesson. It baffles me how little people know about blockchain tech and what it’s all about. You can be sure I had to at Bitcoin before they could grasp the concept. Either way, I was sure to leave them the Steem website so they could research some more.
Are you a Youtube?
That’s the first question they asked when I pulled out my camera to vlog. Which ended up being a great conversation starter. I can only hope they learnt something and will follow through. They are such young ladies and gents who’d use a financial break through opportunity, especially given the hard economic times in my country that has left 1000’s of well educated youths jobless, myself included.
In other news, do you like my nail do? 🙂 Wishing you all a warm pleasant Wednesday, Sincerely, El.
I am currently in reminiscing mood as I type this! May was actually such a great month cause I got out a lot more often, and I kind of feel that is something I’d really enjoy! You know, putting myself out there and creating content without a care in the world. If you know me then you know I have been dreaming of a full=time digital lifestyle for the longest time ever! And now that everything seems to be falling into place , I just wanna be able to share that and inspire other people to do the same.
**My greatest May achievement?** I actually jumped in on my Youtube Channnel and got the ball rolling. I know it’s really not a big deal cause I have been doing vlogs on My DTube Channel for over an year now. But being on Youtube is quite different than being on the blockchain. Youtube is like an average internet user’s platform while DTube is a bit more seasoned for blockchain and die hard cryptocurrency enthusiasts.
While I still feel conflicted on the kind of content I’d want to push on my Youtube Channel, the main goal is quite crystal, to empower and create awareness of blockchain platforms that centralized, mainstream social media users can leverage to build a solid financial backbone. Maybe not now, but with time and consistency, it could be the best retirement plan anyone could have. In a world where bitcoin hits $20k again, those who have stuck around creating content on Steem will have massive benefits to reap. Hopefully when that time comes, my Steem Blog will not be worth anything less than $50,000. That way, it would be so much easier to highlight to others the potential of the Steem Blockchain.
In other news guys, here is my First Steem Promo Youtube Video… Any feeback will be very highly appreciated. I got a few positive comments which was rather encouraging. If you\d be so kind to share widely I’d really appreciate that as well.
Also, What do you think of My Channel Art Above?
As always, Appreciate all the Feedback, Do #LIKE #COMMENT & #SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL. Totally committed to taking the Steem Gospel to the Masses 😉
Those of you that have known me long enough probably have seen my journey unfold gradually. I started out as a green as can be and gradually found my way to what I can now call communities I am passionate about. And it’s without a doubt @Steemhunt is on top of that list.
Looking back I’d say I started out as an amateur hunter, trying as hard as I could to understand the Steemhunt concept and I’m proud to say, I eventually grew to love it and somewhat have translated into a Pro Hunter, at least in my own definition.
Today is not about me however. Today, I am dedicating this post to help YOU to become a great hunter, possibly a Steemhunt Mentor to others. I never really knew how much I’d actually enjoy hunting for cool, new, innovative products but I have come to love it so much so, I can hardly go a day without a Steemhunt post. When I miss it my day never feels the same.
Of course the upside of being part of the Steemhunt community comes with great rewards, both in terms of Steem & Hunt Tokens, but the greater reward for me I’d also say is acquiring knowledge not only about the platform, but also knowledge on thousands of products & services as well as being able to share that information with the rest of the community on here.
If you resonate with any of those reasons, then this is definitely the post for you. But more importantly, a great opportunity for you to be involved in the Steemhunt platform. I should mention, while we are talking all things Steemhunt, this is going to be my entry to be a Steemhunt mentor, a contest being held by the lovely @rosatravels.
Who is a Talented Steemhunt Hunter?
Talent- Natural Aptitude or Skill.
For me, when I think about a talented Steemhunt hunter, it is someone who effortlessly finds the right products that fit the [Steemhunt’s Posting Guidelines](https://github.com/Steemhunt/web/blob/master/POSTING_GUIDELINES.md
) with ease. Someone who has an eye for products or services that the tech savvy internet community would resonate with, are obsessed with or are constantly talking about and being able to review those products on Steemhunt in a fun, yet professional, captivating manner. It is also someone who hunts those products before any other hunter, because, duplicates are not allowed!
Here Comes the Big Question, Where to Dig for those New, Cool & Innovative Products?
I feel it is not a matter of where, but as a matter of how & why.
I know alot of hunters are going to be hesitant in sharing the where’s, and I completely understand. It is like giving out the key to your gold mine right? So I’ll do you one better and share with you the how & why, at least that is my strategy.
If you have been following me for sometime, then you might have noticed my hunts are not random, well, at least not until I grasped some momentum. Before I hunted anything & everything, which was fine since I hardly ever got delisted, but I was all over, from apps to tech products to services etc. Lately, I have found a system where I focus on a certain niche or industry and hunt for products in that line. Lately, I am doing alot of health apps for conditions I feel are affecting alot of the human population, before that I did fitness apps and so on. You get the drift.
I look around and try as much to immerse myself in my real life circumstances and surroundings and look for products I feel would be able to offer solutions to my problems, my family, friends and or neighbors. When I look into health apps, I remember all the people in my life who are struggling with certain health problems. Cancer, diabetes, hypertension, mental health etc. I find when I do this, I find myself very interested to search for products that could help a loved one. The best advice I can give, think of problems in your life you need solutions to, then start researching on possible solutions, you will be pleasantly surprised.
As a Steemhunt Mentor, What Would I like to See in a Steemhunt Post?
The products & services one hunts will never change. By this I mean, they will always function as the makers intended for them to right? That to say, the information is good, but personally I enjoy reading hunts that have a bit of personality to them. If you are a humorous person, bring that out without taking away from the awesomeness of a hunt. If you are a creative, expressive or whatever personality, bring that out. I feel readers need to connect to a hunter first before they can trust your judgement & the products you are recommending to them. It’s all about trust.
Of course I would also like to see a well written post. Grammatically correct, proper punctuation, crystal clear images and gifs, well quoted context where need be, and most importantly, one’s opinion about the product, which should include the Pros & Cons.
Some of the Requirements to Post Cool New Products?
The right product link, the right product name, a captivating short description of the product, using appropriate tags are just some of the requirements I feel are mandatory. Of course there’s more as highlighted on Steemhunt’s Posting Guidelines which you should familiarize with.
How Does one Get a Hunt Approved?
This is probably one of those questions I have been asked over and over again. One which I have also covered numerous times in my Dtube Vlogs. It is actually not that hard;
Make Sure your hunt is Not a Duplicate. You can do this by making use of the Search bar on the Steemhunt platform before you even delve into your hunts. That is like the first rule of Steemhunt. If the hunt you had in mind has been hunted before, move on to the next!
Secondly, Use the Right Product Link. Steemhunt accepts only 4 product links.
Read about product links Here
Hunt Products that fit the posting guidelines.
> Web services.Mobile apps. API, IT solutions, bots, open sources or other types of software.Tech gadgets, hardware, IoT/connected/wearable devices. Games.Innovative Engineering/Design Products (It may cover non-tech products that have been invented based on high-level engineering/design approach to solve a major problem)..
Other than that, your posts should be in English, without plagiarism, and of great quality.
How Do Steemhunters Interact with Each Other?
There’s a number of ways to do this. But mostly I feel it is via the Steemhunt’s Website as most spend a lot of time creating, curating as well as giving feedback on the day’s hunts.
Earlier on, I mentioned one of the great perks of being a Steemhunt member is earning both Steem and Hunt tokens. It is hard to believe there’s anyone who’s been here for a while without a clue about hunt tokens. Steemhunt had one of the biggest Airdrops we’ve had on the Steem blockchain a while back. But for the sake of those that maybe new on Steem , Hunt Tokens are tokens that fuel the Steemhunt Platform. Currently valued at $0.02, this tokens can be;
Earned by sharing/upvoting cool new products in the Steemhunt community
Used by product owners and makers to run review campaigns for hunters, in return, the hunters can use this tokens to buy products and services at discounted prices.
In the near future, the tokens will also be used by hunters and anyone who holds them to back crowdfunding projects.
Review Hunt is the platform product makers will use to run their product campaigns, where professional Steemhunt Influencers can review cool new products and without a doubt the perfect place for anyone who wants to be a product influencer should be. A time is coming where Steemhunters can officially be appointed to review certain products as per the product owners request and of course, earn heftily while at it.
How then do you make sure you are ready for review hunt?
Then be on the look out for the official platform launch in July 2019.
In the mean time, try as much as you can to guild your social media presence in the various platforms as it will go a long way in gaining you access to the review hunt platform as a hunt influencer. Some of the platforms I’d advice to focus on are Youtube, Twitter, Instagram, Medium & Facebook. If you have more, even better.
First of all, thank you for reading this far. If you found this information useful do leave me a feedback below.
Secondly, I would highly encourage anyone who is looking into passive income or extra income on the platform to seriously look into the [Steenhunt Platform]. So far, there are over 60 companies that have committed more than $500,000 monthly to be spent on product review on review hunt. Imagine how much of that pie you could get for just doing amazing reviews.
Thirdly, if you would like to be a Steemhunt mentor be sure to check out the mentioned post by @rosatravels. Better yet, if you think I’d make a good Steemhunt mentor don’t be shy to show your support, I will highly appreciate it. Steemhunt is one of those DApps I have been very consistent with & continue to be passionate about. Being a Steemhunt Influencer few months back was one of the ways I could give back to this amazing platform and being a mentor would be an even greater opportunity. To not only help you with your Steemhunt journey, but to also show support and give back to the community at large.
Tagging @lordbutterfly @anouk.nox @adettorent @prettynicevideo @tibfox @jeronimorubio for support.
Man, I am kind of very excited! I am a sucker for community effort and I have sort of been very eager to see how this spans out and the effect it will have for our platform in general!
If you are a little behind, we are dedicating 1st of May towards powering up as much STEEM as we can, Together! No matter how much or little you can afford, it all counts in the long run, so do join us!
I have been reading a lot of interesting articles and sentiments on this virtual event. But one thing I have derived from most if not all, it that this is a testament of our belief in this blockchain! If you strongly believe in the future of the Steem blockchain, then here is a chance for you to put your money where your mouth is..
Personally I haven’t much to power up, but I have managed to convert some of my SBD to Steem which is what I will be powering up in support of Steem Power Up Day. Approxiamtely 300 Steem is what I’ll be powering up.
Part of which, I won courtesy of the Awareness & Engagement Contest held by @jeronimorubio, It was such a timely win right? 😀
The goal of this event is to have as many people as possible to participate in the Steem Power Up, with at least 15 STEEM and on wards. I know there are people who have formed a constant habit of doing this whenever they can, which is commendable, and there are those hardly do due to other commitments. If you are among the later, then this is a special call to make a difference today.
Other than that, Imagine how much you’ll have invested in yourself and your blog if Steem is to hit that $7.77 @nathanmars is tirelessly talking about. If that’s not motivation enough to go hard today with #SPUD, then I don’t know what is.
For some weird reason, I strongly believe we might see this price come to life. The pressure has been building up for sometime now, it may not seem so right now especially cause STEEM took a dump this week, but I strongly believe the BTC Bull is just a about to wake up, and you know what that means for Steem, after all, history does tend to repeat itself…
So What are you waiting for? Join #SPUD Today!
PS; If You Don’t Show Proof 😀
Special Thanks to @Streetstyle for Coming Up with this Amazing Event! For the Love of the Steem Blockchain, Happy #SPUD DAY Y’ALL >3
Probably not the best of food photography I have taken, but that is besides the point of this post. You see, recently I was at the city center and had this simple lunch, some fries and a bottle of soda. It really got me thinking of the power of the STEEM blockchain. This meal cost me just 2 STEEM, that’s less than $2 for those of you aren’t as familiar with the STEEM platform.
It just blows my mind when I think of how many people’s lives STEEM could potentially change. Imagine all the people out here struggling to get a job to feed their families , at this point Venezuela comes to mind and all the 3rd world countries that struggle so much on this end.
For $2 Steem Lunch, I can have breakfast, lunch and dinner from all my earnings though content creation on my Steem Blog from just one post a day. How insane is that?
This is the power of blockchain opportunities and platforms. I never really understood it as crystal and as I do now. So every-time I create content, I feel rather fortunate and passionate to keep it going, with the thought of the possibilities that lie ahead.
When I first joined the Steem Blockchain as a content creators. It was at STEEM’S All Time High in terms of price. I remember reading content of people buying trucks with their Steem Earnings, I remember reading about @surfermarly’s Steem Bought Land and House project, I was hella inspired and excited and in this moment, as I write this, I have that great gut feeling, encouraging me to keep going. How that going by the way girl?
How Much does 2 STEEM (<$2) get you in your country?
Even though I don’t indulge much with my STEEM Earnings, just knowing I can cash out and treat myself to anything I please is satisfaction enough. After all, they do say good things come to those who wait right? Keeping my eyes on the price for that $7.77 as @nathanmars would say. Here’s to making Steem Great and to Spreading the word to those that need to hear about it the most, like you, the one that just discovered my WordPress blog. What are you waiting for? 🙂
Want to know more about how to earn through your content?Check out STEEM.IO .

It’s 1pm, do you know what that means? It’s freaking Lunch Time :))
What are you having for lunch today? Today it felt like a chicken kind of day. If you didn’t know, I am such a huge meat lover, I don’t think I have a fave, I just love it all. Truth is, I don’t think I’d ever survive without meat.
We call this Ugali…
You probably are familiar with the chicken and the soup from your part of the world, but are you familiar with ugali? It is basically a mix of corn flour and water.
Bring water to boil in a pot
Add Corn flour as you stir until it thickens to your liking, cook it for 15-20 mins.
While some people like to add salt and cooking oil to it, this is the original Kenyan way to cook it. You can also have it with steamed kale or cabbage if you wish. I had mine with some chicken and soup. It was super delish.
We are also big on spring chicken here, it is so much tastier though tougher to chew…sometimes
The soup is mostly from boiling the chicken, once well cooked, we fry it just to give it more taste. How do you cook your chicken? I like bbq , buffalo & periperi wings on most days as well.
The beauty about food is, you get to experience and explore so much of other people’s culture and their way of life,.. I find it rather fascinating how people prepare their meals across the globe.
All in all, thank you for stopping by. If you liked this post don’t forget to check out more on my blog.
